Match Report
EAGLES WINGS CLIPPED
The Colts kicked off at Fortyfoot in search of three points against their local rivals Epsom Eagles. The first half was dominated by the Colts playing some neat football, controlling the possession and creating chances. Inevitably they were rewarded. Glenn played a pass to Rob, who poked it through to Jake who controlled it and placed in the corner of the net. The colts were 1-0 up! The Colts went in at the break having just played as Nasser described "our best half of the season".
The Colts started the second half kicking down hill which seemed to be an advantage as yet again they controlled the game however an Epsom counter attack led to what looked like a foul on Alex, the Colts seemed to stop and wait for a whistle but it never came and the ball fell to an Epsom player who buried it past Charlie H. 1-1. The Colts didn't give up though and continued to press for a winner. However neither team could find a winner and the match ended in a tie.
Man Of The Match: Man Of The Match went to Joe Elbishlawi for being first to everything that came his way and always being on his toes.
Managers Comment: "A great team performance however one lapse of concentration cost us dearly"
